Professional Soccer Player & Eugene Native Charged In Sexual Assault

A sexual assault suit was filed this week against professional soccer player, Nate Jaqua of the Seattle Sounders for a 2007 assault against a former University of Oregon women’s soccer player. According to the suit, the plaintiff met Jaqua at Rennie's Landing and while leaving to go home was approached by him. The Plaintiff said Jaqua offered to walk her to 22nd st. but when they passed a cemetery the plaintiff says that Jaqua assaulted her. The plaintiff has filed a 10 million dollar suit against Jaqua and major league soccer.
