Eugene - For the second year in a row the City of Eugene has come up short in its budget. The city faces a 6.5 million dollar short fall. To balance it out 30 to 40 positions could be eliminated. “We already made the 12 million reductions from this past year, so we found some of the efficiencies that are comparatively easier. Some weren’t easy at all, so know it will be even harder, Jan Bohman explains. Bohman says at this point it hasn’t been decided where the cuts will be made.
