Eugene - Ben Bond acquitted, municipal court Judge Wayne Allen dismissed a charge of obstruction of government or judicial administration, Stemming from a Jan 13th clash between Bond, and a city parking officer. Maria Velasquez testified that Bond followed her down the street curse her and called her derogatory names during three incidents along 5th street, Bond denied that. “A lot I thought they brought to court was very shocking to me, and I was very shocked to hear some of the statements that I supposively said,” Ben Bond explains. After Velasquez testified, Bond never actually threatened to hurt her; his attorney William Wiswall filed a motion of dismissal. He reached back nearly twenty five years to a court ruling that requires a defendant to threaten to commit a crime to commit intimidation, part of that obstruction charge.
